New season for the shopping trail that promotes unique and genuine shops

Turisme de Barcelona's Genuine shopping trail showcases the city's most iconic and inspiring shops and kicks off its third season with lots of new features and shops. Barcelona Genuine Shops takes visitors on a guided tour that introduces them to the most authentic, distinctive and less well-known side of the city through its shops, while highlighting its unique retail model and identity.

The shopping trail visits a variety of shops including those dedicated to Catalan brands, workshops producing items made with eco-friendly materials and centuries-old establishments steeped in history that retain their original fixtures and fittings and time-honoured service. You'll be able to talk to local designers, enjoy shops filled with traditional hand-crafted goods and taste local specialities, like turrón nougat, olive oil and chocolate. These are just some of the experiences for the five senses to be enjoyed on this tour. It is run by the Barcelona Shopping City programme to boost the city as a quality-shopping destination and invites you to experience sensations through aromas, textures and direct contact with the producers of goods made in Barcelona.
