Joint strategic alliance between Barcelona and Seville

This is the first time the two cities have worked together to promote each other jointly through the same shared story of culture, food, sustainability, fashion and literature

Barcelona and Seville have joined forces to host a face-to-face promotional event in Paris to strengthen the domestic and nearby European markets and lend visibility to the two destinations as part of the same, yet distinct, story based on sustainability, food, architecture, literature and fashion. The initiative brings together the cities of Barcelona and Seville and invites our close European neighbours, in this case from the French market, to visit. The aim is to attract tourists who are interested in culture, sustainability and food.

This promotional event follows in the wake of the one held in Russia last month and ties in with our strategy to boost alliances between the travel trade and organisations in other cities to reactivate the tourist economy. In this case, the event has been organised jointly with Turismo de Sevilla in collaboration with Spanish and French railways, RENFE-SNCF, the airline Vueling, the theme park Port Aventura, and La Roca luxury outlet village, as well as the palace of Las Dueñas-Casa de Alba in Seville, which will also be featured in the Paris presentation. The initiative will also be supported by Turespaña, the Spanish Tourist Office in Paris (OET), and the Spanish Embassy in Paris.
