Turisme de Barcelona launches the campaign "Come to Barcelona. Now is the time", which has been designed to have an impact during the period when the Mobile World Congress was due to be held, with an offer that will bring added value to visitors who were planning to stay here, or people from Barcelona, Spain and nearby markets, such as Europe. The campaign is aimed at different target groups and captures Barcelona's spirit of resilience and ability to react and overcome adverse situations while remaining a city for enjoying and sharing that is open to visitors.
The campaign features activities and discounts at shops, markets, restaurants, hotels and tourist apartments, transport and culture during the week of 21st February to 1st March. Seven types of establishment signed up at the outset, and other operators have been added bringing a variety of initiatives. Barcelona Week is the result of a joint collaboration between Barcelona City Council, Turisme de Barcelona and the entities representing the different economic sectors.
