“Barcelona on the road”
Turisme de Barcelona launches its first promotional event on the west coast of the USA to reconnect with North American visitors.

A delegation from the consortium is hosting promotional events with businesses in San Francisco, Silicon Valley and Los Angeles to present a new package of tourism products to promote science and technology, religious heritage and food in order to attract new strategic segments.
This first promotional mission, which has the slogan “Barcelona on the road”, not only seeks to contact agencies and operators from the sector,but also to have an impact on the end consumer, either through meetings with businesses and by bringing the city's attractions to people in the street and having a direct impact on interested groups.
The main aim of the event is to have a segmented and precise impact through the attributes Barcelona is recognised for, or which we want to highlight, such as the excellence of its food, together with new contents the consortium is working on, including science and innovation, diversity, spiritual and cultural tourism and academic tourism.
This is the consortium's first in-person tour of the west coast. This will enable it to reach the end consumer in a more direct way. One of the initiatives is a foodtruck that will be visiting each operator/business and giving cookery demonstrations for the public, the specialist press and influencers.
The businesses taking part in this event, organised by Turisme de Barcelona in association with Turespaña and ACT, are Level, American Airlines, El Corte Inglés, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, Associació Passeig de Gràcia, Cambra LGTBIQ+ i and the Nuñez i Navarro hotel chain.
